Hoboken police seeking help to ID men who pepper sprayed woman, stole backpack

The Hoboken Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify two men, one who pepper sprayed a woman, before stealing her backpack.

At about 9:06 p.m. last night, a woman was robbed of her backpack. The incident occurred on Bloomfield Street between 12th and 13th Streets, according to Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera.

There were two men involved: one actor was wearing a black winter jacket, black pants with a white stripe down the side, and white sneakers. Meanwhile, the second actor was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black winter jacket, black pants, and black sneakers.

Additionally, one of the men sprayed the victim in the face with some type of pepper spray. After being sprayed, the same man grabbed the victim’s backpack and forcefully pulled it away from her.

They were last seen fleeing southbound from the area.

  1. Bro are you f***ing kidding with that description of the perps.. White male, Hispanic, black what is it. By not giving a proper description you prolong the arrests and further endanger the public. Also works right into the stereotype of when no race is mentioned it is always a Black perp.
